Job Summary:
The State of South Carolina seeks an Advanced Business Analyst to support the migration of applications from an old environment to a new one. This is a staff augmentation role for a major ongoing project. The position requires a blend of remote and onsite work.
Location: Columbia South Carolina United States
Responsibilities:
- Elicit analyze and document business rules processes and requirements.
- Work within the system development life cycle (SDLC).
- Utilize SQL databases.
- Contribute to the migration of applications to a new environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 5 years of experience with Government IT Projects as a Business Analyst or in related roles.
- 5 years of experience in eliciting analyzing and documenting business rules processes and requirements.
- 1 years of hands-on experience with the system development life cycle (SDLC).
- 1 years of experience with SQL database.
- A Bachelors degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may substitute for the BA degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA).
- Certification such as PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
- Experience using JIRA and Microsoft Office products.
Special Considerations:
- Must be a current SC resident. No relocation is allowed.
- Onsite work required 2 days per week.
Scheduling:
- 3 days remote 2 days onsite.
- Contract duration is 12 months with a possibility for extension.
