We have a new urgent req for the client for a Project Manager for contract work. Please see details below.
The client is seeking the temporary help of an experienced IT Project Manager due to an unexpected retirement within their division. The ideal candidate would be able to step into an existing project that has recently lost a lead manager.
Engagement length:
ASAP until approximately June 2026.
There is the possibility of this position evolving into a full-time city position if the candidate is interested and is the right fit for the organization.
Schedule:
Estimate of 25 - 30 hours a week based on the anticipated demands of the project.
Office work hours are 8 - 4:45 daily and the actual hours each day the position requires are flexible and can be tailored to the specifics of what is needed each day.
Tasks/duties:
- The main tasks would be to hit the ground running and coordinate the many aspects of the project while working with SMEs and tech leads. Common duties would include facilitating meetings monitoring the work product serving as a liaison between the citys IT department and others and assisting the other Project Manager as needed.
- Assisting and coordinating a city-wide ERP implementation.
- Providing management and oversight of other smaller projects.
Experience:
- A mid-level project manager with 5 years of experience would be preferred.
- A bachelors degree is required.
- Project Management Professional certification would be preferred.
- Software platforms such as Workday (ERP) EPlan (electronic plan review) E Property plus (property management) or Neighborly are desired but not required.
- Municipal experience would also be desired but not required.
Location: Candidate would work on-site at the office at 809 N Broadway Milwaukee 25-30 hours a week or as needed based on workload.

Pay rate: $55/hr on W2.
