Job Description
Our Client
Our client an advertising company seeks to employ a chief commercial officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Oversee the Client Acquisition Partnerships and Business Development teams.
- Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to penetrate those markets.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships to grow the company s brand and client base.
- Set and monitor KPIs for commercial activities ensuring measurable growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Agency Operations Finance Strategy) to align client solutions with internal capabilities.
- Represent the company in high-stakes negotiations and partnerships.
- Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to inform strategy.
- Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and play an active role in the leadership team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior commercial or business development role.
- Prior experience in marketing digital media or consulting industries is essential.
- Proven success in revenue growth partnerships and strategic planning.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing Strategy or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team-building experience.
- Excellent negotiation communication and decision-making skills.
- MBA or Master s degree in Business Administration or Strategy.
- Experience working with or within creative or marketing agencies.
- Strong understanding of the African business environment and consumer behavior.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales processes.
