We are supporting a leading client in the agrochemical industry in their search for a highly strategic and results-oriented Regional Manager Southeast Asia. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving market growth product selection and strategic partnerships across the Southeast Asian region. The ideal candidate will possess deep agrochemical market expertise strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of success in regional market management.
As the Regional Manager Southeast Asia for our client your key responsibilities will include:
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth regional agrochemical market research analyzing local agricultural planting structures competitive landscapes policies/regulations and identifying key pain points in farmers needs.
Product Portfolio Management: Select suitable products from the companys extensive portfolio track registration processes and strategically diversify local product lines to meet market demands.
Regional Market Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive regional market strategies aligned with the companys product matrix conduct efficacy verification plan effective promotion programs and define channel layouts pricing strategies and promotional activities.
Key Customer Engagement: Expand and maintain high-quality regional customer relationships establish a structured customer visit plan and facilitate strategic partnerships to foster long-term growth.
Local Brand Implementation: Design and execute brand activities that resonate with regional cultures coordinating closely with headquarters and local teams to complete localized product packaging design.
Technical Marketing Execution: Develop differentiated product solutions tailored for regional specialty crops organize impactful field demonstration meetings and conduct dealer technical training sessions.
Data-Driven Market Management: Monitor key performance metrics such as regional sales and market share providing regular feedback to headquarters with product improvement suggestions to drive iterative upgrades.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Liaise effectively with headquarters marketing supply chain legal and other departments to ensure rapid response to regional market needs. Guide regional sales and customer service teams in executing market strategies and provide essential training on competitor analysis negotiation skills and more.
Risk Management: Track regional policy changes proactively develop response plans and mitigate potential market access risks to ensure business continuity.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the agrochemical market with familiarity in the market operations of various pesticide categories. Experience in regional market management at multinational or top local enterprises is highly valued.
Product Knowledge: Mastery of pesticide technical principles registration processes and field application techniques. Understanding of product portfolios from global leading agrochemical companies.
Market Skills: Full-process experience in market research brand planning and campaign execution. Proficiency in data visualization analysis and familiarity with common tools used in the agrochemical industry.
Regional Adaptability: Willingness to travel frequently within the region. Possess strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to quickly understand the agricultural ecosystems of diverse markets.
Result-Oriented: Proven track record in successfully opening new markets and expertise in overcoming market barriers through effective resource integration.
Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with pesticide management regulations in target markets and the ability to lead or support the development of localized compliance systems.
Education: Bachelors degree or higher with a preference for majors in Agronomy Plant Protection Marketing or related fields. A masters degree or overseas study background (especially in agricultural fields) may relax experience requirements.
Language Skills: Proficient in English (listening speaking reading writing) as the primary working language. Ability to speak local Southeast Asian languages (such as Thai Vietnamese) is a bonus.
