Job Description
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full & Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their STATEN ISLAND Group home residences.
DATE & TIME: THURSDAY JULY 31st from 10AM-1PM
LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates.
POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:
40hr Day & Evening Shifts: License Required.
40hr & 30hr Overnight shifts: license NOT Required.
Weekend availability needed for most positions!
PAY RATE: Hire-In $17 per hour - $18.36 per hour depending on residence placement and driving status. If hired at $17 the rate will be increased to $18 after 6 months if in good standing. Responsibilities:
- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development interests and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking cleaning hygiene etc.
Qualifications :
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support peoples preferences for community activities work leisure activities the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED highly preferred.
