Why this role matters:
The Education Designer plays a key role within the UNSW Business School supporting the design and development of high-quality digitally enabled learning teaching and assessment programs across undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The role works closely with course convenors academic and professional staff and the Education Portfolio team to ensure curriculum design aligns with program learning outcomes and best practices in digital pedagogy.
Responsibilities include supporting curriculum and assessment development designing student-centred learning experiences and contributing to capability-building initiatives that enhance academic staff expertise. The role also supports ongoing evaluation of course delivery to drive continuous improvement.
Knowledge of current trends in educational technology is essential and experience with learning analytics and the application of AI to enhance learning design and education quality will be highly regarded. The Education Designer also contributes to learning and teaching projects and provides expert guidance on digital pedagogies.
The role reports to the Manager Education Design and supports the Senior Deputy Dean (Education and Student Experience).
