Guggenheim Securities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support the Product Control Accounting and FP&A functions within the Finance organization. Reporting to the Business Unit Product Controller this person will join a highly collaborative and productive team that provides critical support to the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with financial reporting forecasting budgeting and analysis to support strategic decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills a core understanding of accounting principles and excellent communication skills. The Business Unit Controller/Business Management Analyst role is located in New York NY.
Essential Job Functions
Support the daily and monthly financial reporting process
Participate in monthly close process; ensure reliability and integrity of financial information
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets forecasts and long-range financial plans
Develop and maintain financial models
Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement
Develop commentary that adds value and draws attention to key issues and/or perspectives
Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Establish and report key operating metrics used to drive the business to greater efficiency
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis investment banking or a similar role
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday general ledger and OneStream financial planning/software a plus
Financial services experience
Work Location
Currently this role is expected to be in the New York office at least 3 days per week.
Salary
Annual base salary between $120-125k
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
