Job Description
Our Veterinary Assistants assist the veterinary technicians and veterinarians. A typical day requires lots of stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital. As the veterinary assistant learns the flow and ways of the hospital progression to animal restraint and assisting of other support staff is required. You will at times also interact with pets and their owners; thus customer service skills are key. You will work directly with the rest of our veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites scratches animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications :

- Compassionate Calm Team Player Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
- Proficient in sample collection obtaining medical histories processing laboratory tests and radiographs and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
- A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
- Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
- Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
- A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skillset
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
Additional Information :
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time
Hospital Hours: Monday Friday: 7:00 am 6:00 pm Saturday 7:00 am 4:00 pm Sunday 9:00 am 3:00 pm
Pay: $20-$28/hr
