The Director of Operations will oversee and optimize all aspects of our manufacturing and production environment including supply chain quality assurance process improvement logistics and facilities. This leadership role requires a proactive operator who can drive results streamline systems and build strong cross-functional teams in a highly regulated and fast-paced industry.The ideal candidate is a decisive leader with a deep understanding of defense manufacturing compliance standards and continuous improvement methodologies.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership over manufacturing production planning inventory procurement quality and facilities.
- Ensure operational excellence through KPI development root cause analysis and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
- Partner with Engineering Quality and Program Management to deliver high-quality products on-time and within budget.
- Drive operational readiness and scalability to support new contracts customer demands and regulatory changes.
- Manage direct reports and department leads; mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Maintain compliance with ITAR ISO AS9100 and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership on operational strategy budget planning and long-term growth initiatives.
- Champion a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management Business or a related field (Masters or MBA preferred).
- 10 years of progressive experience in operations preferably within the defense aerospace or complex manufacturing sectors.
- 5 years people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing Six Sigma and quality systems (ISO/AS9100 ITAR DFARS).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a regulated fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving decision-making and organizational skills.
- Skilled in ERP systems supply chain optimization and manufacturing analytics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance if required.
