What can you expect in a Director Operations - Fleet Management role with TaskUs:
As a Director Operations - Fleet Management you will provide strategic leadership and tactical oversight of all matters related to clients fleet operations including management dispatching and maintenance for all vehicles. The Director also plays a key role in ensuring effective asset inventory management compliance to DOT regulatory requirements and people management.
Responsibilities:
Take complete ownership of the business units success
Develop and execute strategy and tactics for all aspects of the clients fleet program
Leadership requirement to lead the team of supervisors and drivers in the field including scheduling dispatching and delivering on specific client response service levels
Be responsible for the fleet but also car leases as well as managing all aspects of the vehicles including leases gasoline service autonomous Vehicle experience and insurance requirements
Define standard operating procedures to effectively manage repairs and maintenance
Track and report operational performance strategic capital and operating expense
Creation and implementation of management plan to track and manage operating expense asset purchases fuel cost and ongoing maintenance
Serve as primary liaison for compliance reviews and audits and primary contact for federal and state regulatory agencies including DOT OSHA and FCMSA
Regular reporting to leadership to communicate and mitigate any enterprise level risks
Implement safety management controls
Ensure DOT regulatory compliance that adheres to local state and federal regulatory requirements
Foster a People First culture centered around wellbeing and safety
Requirements:
Based in Detroit/Phoenix with the ability to be in the field a significant portion of the time
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education training and experience is required
Minimum 10 years of industry experience including responsibility for end-to-end fleet operations autonomous vehicle experience operations and DOT regulatory compliance programs
5 years of experience in extensive leadership and coaching
Self starter independent leader empowered to run business unit as a start up
Demonstrated history of launching successful new products or business units
Ability to prepare ROI on business and report to executive leadership about progress next steps and growth opportunities
Operational and technical expertise in aspects of fleet and asset management
Capable of leading a team and building strong cross-functional relationships
Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills
Ability to effectively manage third-party vendor relationships
Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
Strong professionalism with foundational skills such as presentation reliability and discipline
