Job Description

Assist the Director Standards and Regulatory Compliance in carrying out quality assurance activities and actively participate in project management to ensure compliance with regulations across all flight operations documentation. The incumbent monitors audit activities to identify and address any major events that pose a risk to flight operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage flight operations documentation by defining policies processes and procedures to keep all flight operations publications up to date and in regulatory compliance;
  • Collaborate on project management to ensure regulatory compliance civil aviation standards and best practices as well as proper implementation;
  • Identify prepare and evaluate new initiatives aligned with a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Monitor compliance with applicable standards and the adequacy of procedures based on regulatory requirements IATA-IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPs) and organizational requirements;
  • Assist the person responsible for standards quality and regulatory compliance in maintaining the CEA and foreign operations specifications including the incorporation of new aircraft and special authorizations;
  • Support and liaise with other departments on interrelated procedures ensuring process standardization;
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance and safety standards;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the person responsible for standards quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications :

  • University or college degree in a relevant field;
  • 5 years of relevant experience in airline operations;
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation legislation and business practices in the field;
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of quality management systems;
  • Strong leadership and project management skills;
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with various business units;
  • Autonomous and team-oriented;
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in both French and English*;
  • Strong conceptual analytical and planning skills;
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.


Additional Information :

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
