Job Description
General Accountant Hybrid (2 Days Onsite Rocky Hill CT)
Location: Rocky Hill CT (Hybrid 3 Days In-Office Weekly)
** Due to on-site requirements all candidates must live in the greater Hartford area **
Salary Range: $83500 annually

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced general accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting functions. This role will be based out of the Rocky Hill CT office on a hybrid schedule3 days onsite per week and remote for the remaining days.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and adjustments
Support month-end close activities and reporting processes
Assist with accounts payable check runs and related documentation (in-office task)
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Collaborate with internal teams to order supplies
Contribute to ongoing process improvement and efficiency initiatives
Qualifications:
5 years of general accounting experience required; prior experience in architecture engineering construction or related industries strongly preferred
Bachelors degree in in business curriculum is preferred but relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems a plus)
High attention to detail problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
