Who are we looking for

We are looking for an Environmental Chemistry Data Validator / Laboratory Coordinator to join our collaborative team! In this role youll provide technical expertise in environmental analytical chemistry perform data verifications and validations using USEPA and regional guidance and help develop Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs). Youll support project teams in selecting analytical methodologies monitor laboratory turnaround times and ensure data quality objectives are met. This position offers the opportunity to apply your decision-making communication and time management skills while working closely with internal teams and GHDs external partners to deliver high-quality technically sound results.

This position can be based out of one of the following locations: Bridgewater NJ Buffalo NY Niagara Falls NY King of Prussia PA

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools methods and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education attending conferences and reading specialist media.
  • Health Safety and Environment: Follow the organizations health safety and environment (HSE) policies procedures and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them escalating serious issues as appropriate.
  • Client & Customer Management: Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
  • Sampling and Testing: Assist with the collection of a range of samples for laboratory testing and undertake testing in accordance with statutory frameworks and best practice to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes procedures and precedents.
  • Insights and Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
  • Community of Practice Management: Participate actively in a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own expertise.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field of study preferred; relevant years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • At least 3-5 years environmental analytical chemistry experience (laboratory bench chemistry preferred)
  • Experience validating high resolution gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and PFAS analyses preferred
  • Experience with environmental analytical data review including familiarity with USEPA analytical methodologies and knowledge of regional quality standards
  • Previous experience with data validation and preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plan documents a plus

Salary range: $60500-$121000 based on experience & location
