We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to teach across GCSE and A-Level at a prestigious Independent School in Reading. About the Role
This is a full-time position starting in January. You will be teaching Chemistry across Key Stages 35 with responsibility for preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The successful candidate will be expected to inspire curiosity and achievement deliver engaging and challenging lessons and support the departments wide range of extracurricular opportunities including science clubs Olympiad competitions and university taster projects.
Requirements
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
- QTS (or an overseas teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire students
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular enrichment and the wider life of the school
Salary
The school offers a highly competitive independent pay scale above the maintained sector (MPS/UPS equivalent). Additional responsibility allowances (TLRs) and on-site accommodation may be available.
