Job Description

To provide academic support to 100TRIOSSSStudents. This position is responsible to provide academic advising transfer advising financial aid information scholarship information financial literacy and other academic advising services. Organize and provide cultural and educational activities/events forTRIOSSSstudents as per grant requirements. Assist with year-round recruiting and recordkeeping. Provide both community andLSCreferrals as appropriate toTRIOSSSstudents to include tutoring services. Be an advocate forTRIOSSSstudents when necessary to ensure academic success.

Salary Range:

$25.29 - $36.71

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field with 2 years related work experience.

  • Knowledge of Trio/Student Support Services Grant objectives and history of program.

  • Experience working with first generation/low income students students with disabilities culturally and racially diverse populations.

  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of federal state and institutional policies and processes.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Must have strong advocacy and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to think outside the box.

  • Ability to work well in a team setting.

  • Ability to build strong professional relationships withTRIOSSSstudentsTRIOSSSStaffLSCStaff faculty administration community members and non-LSCTRIOstaff.

  • Prefer aTRIOalumni or have similar experience asTRIOSSSstudents while attending college.

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with persons from diverse backgrounds and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Work Shift (Hours / Days of work) Monday Thursday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm Friday 9:00 am 1:00 pm
