Job Description

Tarkett is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our talented team in Dalton. This role is primarily responsible for providing exceptional customer care for all commercial direct business. Utilizing excellent in-depth knowledge of company products programs and procedures the CSR will serve as the face of the company to our customers. This role involves managing orders from the receipt of the purchase order to shipment interfacing with customers to process orders handle inquiries and assist other departments all while ensuring timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Customer Care processes through:

  • Efficiently and accurately process all customer orders received via EDI telephone email through order entry systems (SAP Web Portals).

  • Management of customer inquiries such as order status product information stock availability delivery and shipment details freight quotes account status sales programs and referrals to local Tarkett Distributors or other departments (billing credit freight) along with product line knowledge.

  • Provide freight quotes to customers after processing through the Logistics Department.

  • Use the CRM system to look up projects and quotes for relevant order details.

  • Manage emails from a group inbox ensuring a fast response time that is tracked in weekly scorecards

  • Leverage available resources and problem-solving skills to offer customers proactive and creative solutions.

  • Participate in daily monthly and ad-hoc team meetings.

  • Participate in or lead internal team projects focused on collaboration to develop solutions that enhance our Customer Care initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

  • Review and process weekly order coding corrections report to ensure order coding information is accurately and promptly captured.

  • Supervise the maintenance of orders and serve as the troubleshooter for multiple departments when technical issues occur.

  • Fulfill mandatory courses and engage in activities focused on personal and professional growth.

Desired skills and experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); AA or BA degree

  • Proven experience in a customer service role with at least 3 years of experience.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional departments

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals work instructions and software manuals

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts/tasks at any given time Excellent attention to detail

  • Must be capable of adjusting to continuous changes

  • Exposure to SAP and CRM preferred
