Job Description
Receives and processes incoming supplies and equipment performs cleaning and sterilizing duties prepares packs of supplies linens and instruments in sterile processing as directed for the Endoscopy department. Supports patient care; assists with room setup and ensures equipment is properly prepared.
Education and Training
High school graduate or equivalent; completion of course for Sterile Processing preferred.
- CRCST/ Certified Registered Central Service Technician or equivalent within one year from date of hire.
- BLS required.
Experience
Previous experience in sterile processing operations or surgical setting preferred
Other Skills Competencies and Qualifications
Ability to work well within a team environment:
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time frequent pushing pulling and lifting of patients cleaning equipment and materials.
