What will you be doing
As a System Designer you are responsible for specifying and designing multi-disciplinaryfunctionsto be used worldwide in our logistics systems. Your design is implemented by a team of specialists with whom you closely cooperate. You will be a partner of theplatform and product architectsandsystemintegration and together with your expert team youwillcarry the responsibility for the final release(s)of your multidisciplinary module and its desired function.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for amultidisciplinaryfunctional designof a module its functionfrom initial requirements set by the Product Architectuntil the delivery of the tested function to the integrator
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in the field ofMechanical Electronics Electro-Mechanics PLC and withthese specialists you design a function that fitswithinVanderlandes technology standards and referencearchitectureor if it doesnt fit to define requirementsfor the part missing.
- Requirements Management. Write requirement specifications design specifications test plans specifications and report in theVanderlande requirement tooling ( Enterprise Architect Jira)
- Use Model-Based Design techniquesfor functionalities that concern complex movement ofparcels and/orthe flow control of these parcels. Based on these modelsdefine requirementsand make concept design choices
- Applies system design methodologies and techniques (PSDM 8DDFMEA ModelBased DesignDesign for Six SigmaNumerical Calculations etc.)
What do we ask from you
You have a pragmatic and result-driven attitude. You are eager to learn and curious about the new technologies within and outside Vanderlande.
- You have a relevant masters degree in a technical area Engineering (System& Control Dynamics & Control)Industrial EngineeringManufacturing Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering or a proven track record indicating a comparable knowledge and abstractionlevel.
- You have 3-5years of relevant working experience in designing and engineering multi-disciplinary industrialsystems.
- Youcankeep the overview and can operate on various abstractionlevels.
- Relevant work experience within the field of Robotics and AI technology is considered a plus.
- Have gone through the V-cycle of a product development in relevant domain.
- It is important that you can convince others of a particular point of view to obtain an agreement with your stakeholders.
- You are a functional/system thinkerable to see the big picture yet also go into details.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and unknowns
- Being able to use Model-based design usingMatlab/Simulinkis considered a plus
- You master the English language both orally and in writing
