Job Summary
Looking for an exciting opportunity to work in all the different ICUs at MGH this is your chance by joining our ICU Float Pool! RNs will be responsible for providing care for patients in the Divisional Critical Care Resource Pool. They will be cross-trained over time to cover several different critical care areas including Medical ICU Burn ICU Neuro ICU Surgical ICU Cardiac Surgical ICU and Cardiac ICU. Assignments on each unit may extend across several weeks or months allowing each nurse to develop a diverse set of skills. The staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. They collaborate with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal Patient outcomes. They also collaborate with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations of the patient and family. Staff nurses ensure that care is safe efficient effective timely and meets the cultural spiritual and ethnic needs of each patient and family.Qualifications
