We are seeking a Principal Corporate FP&A Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Lexington MA. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of in-office and remote work flexibility. As a key individual contributor within the Corporate FP&A team you will play a critical role in driving Mimecasts financial planning forecasting and reporting processes. Your work will directly influence Mimecasts strategic decision-making helping to shape the companys growth trajectory and ensure our continued success in the cybersecurity industry.
This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The Principal Corporate FP&A will focus on delivering accurate and actionable financial insights to support Mimecasts strategic goals and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial modelling forecasting and reporting.
What Youll Do:
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
Support the development of the companys annual budget quarterly forecasts and long-term financial plans.
Perform detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives.
Ensure alignment of forecasts with corporate objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Reporting & Insights:
Develop and maintain financial reports to track key metrics and provide visibility into business performance.
Conduct in-depth analysis of company-wide financial performance including revenue expenses and profitability.
Identify trends risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Partner with HR and other stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate headcount reporting and workforce planning models to ensure alignment with Mimecasts strategic goals and budgetary constraints.
Assist in preparing materials for executive leadership and board meetings.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial data to support executive decision-making.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Drive enhancements in financial processes tools and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to implement best practices and streamline reporting workflows.
What Youll Bring:
8 years of progressive experience in FP&A corporate finance or a related field.
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field; MBA CPA or CFA preferred.
Excellent financial modelling forecasting and analytical skills.
Strong business acumen with a desire to learn how Mimecasts business activities shape our financial outcomes.
Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g. Adaptive Insights NetSuite or similar platforms).
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently as a high-performing individual contributor.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
Experience in SaaS or technology industries is desirable.
