Job Description

The Abington Public Schools is accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:Physical TherapistAbington Public Schools Abington Public Schools is seeking a .6 Physical Therapist (PT). The PT is responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives to meet students needs in the area of Physical Therapy. The PT is responsible for providing both direct and consultative physical therapy services for students. Strong clinical skills and a highly collaborative work ethic are essential to this include but are not limited to:Performs in-depth assessments and evaluations at least every three years for students on caseloadPlans and implements daily physical therapy programmingDevelops physical therapy goals and objectives and service delivery for IEP for students on caseloadWrites and reviews quarterly progress reportsMonitors student progressCommunicates with Teachers and Special Education Team Chairs regarding student specific physical therapy needsCollects data and conducts daily analysis for assigned students programmingMaintains written and direct communication with families regarding physical therapyCoordinates schedule to accommodate Student Day and IEP meetingsDevelops schedule to ensure proper implementation of physical therapy service deliveryProvide consultation services to parents/caregivers as neededCommunicate effectively with students families colleagues and administratorsOther duties as assigned
