Job Description
Classroom teacher long term sub position. Start date is 8/25/26 and would be until November 1 2025. Succuesful candidate will have abliity to follow plans left by classroom teacher engage students in lessons and manage classroom behavior/student interaction. Candidate will also be expected to cover duties as assigned and work with 5th grade team.
Desired candidates will:
- Have successful elementary instructional experience
- Develop an inclusive classroom environment supportive of academic and social learning
- Createeffective rapport with students
- Effectively plan and implement approved elementary curriculum
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students
- Evaluate students academic and social growth keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports
- Identify student needs and effectively collaborate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students
- Maintain a classroom environment conductive to learning good health and safetyin line with school wide behavior expectations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with families
- Use technology effectively
- Participate in curriculum development programs as required
- Work collaboratively with different teams of teachers throughout the school
