Department Overview:

The z/OS Technical Services team group is a part of Hosting Solutions within Infrastructure Technology Solutions. We are primarily responsible for the installation configuration and customization of the z/OS operating system and a variety of software products integral to the System z platform.

Job Description/Accountabilities:

This job posting is for Senior Level IT Build Analyst.

The successful candidate will be involved primarily in working with Mainframe Operating System and supporting products as it relates to:

• Installing configuring implementing z/OS and related software products
• Planning implementing and supporting our Sysplex environment
• Developing implementing and improving processes to maximize system availability with focus on Immutable Backups
• Creating developing and documenting process and procedures for the implementation and validation of Immutable Backups
• Investigation and analysis of problems and issues to determine root cause and provide solutions
• Perform audit fieldwork and remediation tasks
• Plan and perform Disaster Recovery tests
• Collaborate with other Support and Operations teams to develop and implement best practices for the System z platform
• Coaching and mentoring team members
• Provide oncall support

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:

College / University or equivalent work experience

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years IT experience
• In-depth knowledge of System z architecture
• Knowledge and familiarity with GDPS is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and effectively handle multiple demands and competing priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated individual

- The successful candidate must be a self-starter team player a quick learner and able to collaborate positively with other departments
