We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer (Contractor) to support the planning development review and certification of Functional Safety Work Products for multiple Sitara MPU platforms including AM62x AM62A AM62P AM275 and J7AEN. The contractor will interface with TIs Sitara MPU Systems team and cross-functional groups to ensure compliance with safety standards and facilitate third-party (e.g. TUV) reviews. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: - Collaborate with our client engineering team to understand functional safety requirements and project scope.
- Review Functional Safety Work Products and auxiliary documents for AM62x in the Plan Create and Validate phases based on AP00210.
- Plan and develop Functional Safety deliverables for AM62A/AM62P/AM275/J7AEN including but not limited to:
- Safety Plan (SAR)
- Safety Requirements Specification (SRS)
- Co-existence and DFA documents
- FMEDA
- Functional Safety Manual and FS Analysis
- Facilitate and support TUV reviews for AM62x and AM62A/AM62P/AM275/J7AEN driving closure of action items with cross-functional teams.
- Lead and review IP-level safety analysis traceability and 3rd-party IP verification with multiple engineering teams.
- Contribute to the improvement of Functional Safety processes and deliverable quality in coordination with the TI Functional Safety team.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - Proven experience with Functional Safety development in embedded systems or semiconductors.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards.
- Prior hands-on experience creating or reviewing Functional Safety Work Products.
- Ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong communication coordination and documentation skills.
- Experience working with third-party certifiers such as TUV is preferredEngagement Terms:
- Contractor must provide services as a self-managed professional under direction from the end client engineers and program management.
- Work must be tracked and reported according to our end clients project timelines and quality expectations.
