As the District Maintenance Lead youll play a vital role in overseeing and executing maintenance operations across multiple Valiant Residential communities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring communities meet company standards of safety quality and resident satisfaction while also mentoring on-site teams and supporting new or transitioning properties.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours and complete general repairs efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance including HVAC plumbing electrical carpentry painting and appliance repairs.
- Oversee and assist with apartment make-readies move-in/move-out inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain grounds common areas pools and sprinkler systems to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and keep shops and storage areas clean and organized.
- Support communities with vendor coordination supply ordering and maintenance documentation.
- Train and guide on-site maintenance staff ensuring timely completion of work orders.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency repairs (nights weekends and holidays).
- Travel between assigned properties across the DFW region as needed.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity plumbing carpentry painting and HVAC is required.
- EPA (refrigerant transition and recovery certification).
- Own a basic set of hand tools.
- Valid drivers license with good driving record and auto insurance.
- Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations and ability to travel within major metropolitan areas with possible overnight stays in different cities.
- Ability to work some weekends as needed.
- Comfortable with frequent regional travel throughout DFW.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit stand climb stoop and remain at a desk for a period of up to 8 hours or more if needed.
- Must be able to walk the property for a period of up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions.
- Must have the ability to climb stairs for purposes of showing properties to prospective tenants.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.
