Rothman Orthopaedics is actively hiring per diem part time and full time Hand Therapists across our 23 offices in the greater Philadelphia region! Shift Types:per diem part time full time
Summary:The Hand Therapist performs the duties of an OT or PT with a specific emphasis on hand and upper extremity injuries of the adolescent adult and geriatric orthopedic population.
Essential Duties:
- Provides hand therapy services to patients in a fast-paced hand and orthopaedic clinic including the fabrication of static and dynamic splints and orthotics.
- Provides evaluations treatments and goal setting of patients.
- Custom fabrication of static and dynamic splints/orthoses.
- Evaluates patients progress and adjusts programs to achieve maximum benefits.
- Consults directly with hand surgeons and other rehabilitation team members.
- Supervises aides and students in direct patient care and related activities.
- Participates in staff in-services monthly rounds and research.
- Adheres to regulatory documentation and billing requirements.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
