Description
Work days: Mon. - Fri.Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:oo p.m.Location: 1115 Mission Road San Antonio TX 78210*Evening and weekend hours may be needed for special events or projects with advanced notice.*


Mission: Seton Home works to break the cycle of abuse and poverty by providing a caring home education and support services necessary to transform the lives of pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children.


Summary:

As the initial point of contact for any visitor or caller this position is responsible for extending positive customer service and coordinating communication between the public and employees of Seton Home. Key components of this position include greeting clients/visitors receiving donations processing mail monitoring front gate/telephone calls. Must be knowledgeable regarding the programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • * Is the primary point of contact for visitors monitors access to campus and answers the phone.
  • * Perform front desk receptionist duties to include receiving donations and processing the mail.
  • * Maintain presentable appearance of administration building porch and mailbox area
  • * Purchase and maintain vending machine and kitchen items
  • * Responsible for ordering sorting & distributing office supplies for Administrative staff.
  • * Draft & distribute agency correspondence as necessary
  • * Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for front desk areas
  • * Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • * Provide support services to residence staff & the public at reception area.
  • Greet visitors donors and guests with hospitality and assist as needed.
  • Assist with completing filing documentation and reports as requested by agency leadership.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of campus activities when required.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork interdependence and ethical behavior.
  • Assist other departments as determined by leadership.
  • Must be sensitive to the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self others.
  • Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.
  • Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
  • As a Seton Home employee attendance and successful completion of a 10-day New Employee Orientation is mandated for the position. The inability to meet this requirement will conclude employment with the Agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Programs or Executive Director.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education
    • High school diploma or higher
  • Experience
    • Non-profit preferred
  • License and Credentials
    • Reliable transportation
    • Valid driver license

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • *Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in a similar role or customer service including non-profit experience.
  • Experience multi-line phone system and office equipment.
  • Experience with computer software including email spreadsheets slideshows (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite software preferred).
  • A solid grasp of the agencies programs and ability to direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Must be detail oriented organized self-motivated work well independently and on a team.
  • Must have good written and verbal skills.
  • Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Travel Requirements:

Travel requirements for the position includes 5 % local and 0 % overnight.
