Senior Operations Support Analyst (Lumina)

Whats the opportunity

The Lumina Platform Support team within RBC Borealis is looking for a Senior Operations Analyst to perform support activities across different platforms including AWS Azure CDL (Snowflake Data Bricks) along with various data movement platforms. The role is part of a team that works across IT and with assigned business line(s) to enable business objectives and strategies. The role reports directly to Senior Manager - Data Solutions. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and preferably prior working knowledge of the on prem and Data Warehouse Cloud environments.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide daily operational support for CDL focusing on monitoring troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to data warehousing and ETL processes;

• Work closely with data engineers analysts cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to address support requests and incidents related to CDL;

• Optimize and enhance performance of Snowflake workloads through SQL query tuning resource monitoring and scaling solutions;

• Assist in developing deploying and maintaining data pipelines within Snowflake;

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data integrity availability and accuracy across datasets and workflows;

• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices for the CDL platform including security user management and access control;

• Work closely with platform engineering team to ensure platform integrity availability and enhance the efficiency and reliability of CDL operations;

• Maintain up-to-date documentation on CDL configurations processes and troubleshooting guides.

Youre our ideal candidate if you have:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Technical support or data engineering background;

• Expertise in engaging and communicating with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations eliciting and documenting business requirements;

• Knowledge of data analysis in a Data Lake environment (Python Scala Hive Datameer) and Cloud environment (AWS and/or Azure);

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS Azure Snowflake and Databricks;

• Flexible to provide on call support to resolve issue as required;

• Experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems experience with SNOW & JIRA ticketing;

• Experience with ITIL processes Incident Problem and Change management

• Experience with Monitoring and alerting applications/tools such as moogsoft Dyntarce Grafana Familiarity with Apache Airflow IDP Knowledge RedHat OpenShift is a plus.
