About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator to manage Xometry projects remotely. This key role involves analyzing project requirements preparing detailed cost and time estimates and ensuring smooth collaboration across teams. Prior hands-on experience with the Xometry platform is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of manufacturing processes pricing strategies and a keen analytical mindset to deliver accurate competitive bids.
Responsibilities
Analyze RFQs and specifications on the Xometry platform
Prepare precise cost and time estimates for CNC machining 3D printing sheet metal fabrication injection molding and more
Identify required materials labor and equipment
Collaborate with project managers procurement and engineering to validate assumptions and improve estimate accuracy
Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools
Monitor estimates against actual costs to refine pricing models
Support bidding strategies to improve win rates while maintaining profitability
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
MUST HAVE prior experience with Xometry projects and platform
Strong understanding of manufacturing and machining processes
Minimum 1 year of estimating or project management experience in manufacturing
Excellent analytical math and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Proficient with spreadsheet tools like Google Sheets
Self-starter capable of working independently in a remote setting
Paid at minimum wage hourly rate
Plus commission bonus of 1% on all sales
