Job Description
This role is only suitable for returning UG students within the School of Mathematical Sciences preferably who are PASS Mentors. The role is to support Welcome induction activities with the School of Mathematical Sciences.
Student Ambassadors are needed to help with certain key induction activities for undergraduate students during Welcome week such as answering queries at a helpdesk handing out of items conducting short tours and guiding new students to various locations.
Start Date:22 September 2025
End Date: 30 September 2025
Working Hours:To be arranged (expected to be 3 hours work)
Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour plus holiday pay
Location: University Park Campus
Dress Code: Casual
The duties will include:
- Answer queries from new students at a helpdesk
- Conduct short tours around Mathematical Sciences building and surrounding area
- Guide new students between locations
- Assist with handing out welcome bags
Skills and experience required for the role:
- Must be a returning student studying in the School of Mathematical Sciences
- Excellent communication skills
- Be Friendly and approachable
