Job Description
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Facility Safety Health and Environmental SHE and Quality Manager. The SHE & Quality Manager role is a key role to ensure the organization operates efficiently through planning and implementing the company safety and procedural program within the facility. This position requires developing knowledge of and be trained in Safety Health Environmental (SHE) and Quality Management System. The position will focus specifically on the SHE & Quality function reporting directly to the General Manager(s) overseeing multiple locations.
Salary: $120000 - $150000/yr DOE
Responsibilities
Approve and process NODs
Create Corrective Action Reports
Conduct root cause analysis as needed for NODs and CARs
Enter NODs and CARs into log
Process OOT reports and research usage of the component
Review Test Procedures for release
Review Test Reports and Certificates for release to client
Site representative at group QA meetings
Monitor and control calibration activities resolve problems that arise
Track assigned monthly QAP training and conduct supplemental training as needed
Conduct periodic management review
Conduct internal audits
Track customer satisfaction and log feedback as appropriate
Participate in pre-test Hold point checklist preparation
Periodic review and update of local SOPs
Review and comment on incoming RFQs and accepted test programs
QA indoctrination for new employees
Update the Org Chart as needed
Keeper of the training jackets for everyone at the site
Skills / Qualifications
To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in communication both written and verbal
- Ability to enforce regulations and engage in conflict resolution in a respectful and engaging manner; ability to see both sides of a situation analyze and resolve safety-related issues
- Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Strong understanding of governmental safety and health regulations/legislation. Suitable certification to be held (NEBOSH General Certificate OSHA 30hr / IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent as minimum)
- Minimum experience level: 3-5 years experience in a safety support role and/or leadership position with interest and/or experience in organization development and working in a challenging setting
- Basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions data and details furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
- Must be able to complete and understand local Safety Health and Environmental training
