The following full-time position may be available immediately:
Skilled Maintenance Worker - HVAC Mechanic
District-wide
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent;
- Certification or degree from accredited trade school or Vo-tech in the field of HVAC;
- Minimum 7 years field experience or with previous district in the HVAC field;
- Valid drivers license with no major violations;
- Current (less than one year old) Act 114 Act 34 Act 151 clearances or ability to obtain before hiring;
- EPA Universal Certification;
- Strong computer skills;
- Experience with blueprints schematics and control logic
Performance Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems such as: boilers water source heat pumps air handlers rooftop units VAVs hydronic pumps and piping makeup air units ventilation cooling towers and more;
- Troubleshoot and repair building automation components including: actuators valves relays sensors dampers thermostats and related controls;
- Prioritize and manage requests through an electronic work order system;
- Order parts and maintain stock;
- Perform preventative maintenance as required;
- Maintain district maintenance vehicle;
- Work independently and or as a team;
- Work with building supervisors to coordinate work to be performed;
- Follow and local and national standards and codes (IBC NFPA ASHRAE ACCA L&I ADA PA School Code etc.);
- Adhere to all School Board policies;
- Respond to emergencies when needed (days evenings weekend holidays);
- Snow removal
- Support other Operations functions by assuming all other duties as directed
Hourly Rate: $43.10
After Probationary Period Rate $45.28
