About Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS)Founded in 1998 and located in Malden Massachusetts Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS) serves more than 1700 students in grades K12. Our students post-secondary achievements are a testament to the rigorous preparation and strong academic foundation they receive throughout their time adhere to a dress code and follow a 200-day academic calendar 20 days longer than traditional public schools. Additionally the school day is extended by 60 minutes. This guiding philosophy shapes every aspect of our academic and character education programs.K8 Strings Music TeacherMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Strings Music Teacher to lead our K8 music program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education and skilled in engaging students through Core Knowledge-aligned instruction hands-on learning and personalized coaching.* Deliver structured standards-based music instruction aligned with the MVRCS curriculum* Design and implement lesson plans with clear objectives and measurable student outcomes* Continuously assess and monitor student progress; issue timely progress reports and report cards* Collaborate regularly with Specials department colleagues and the assigned Assistant Director* Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment using the schools assertive discipline model* Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development* Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership* Bachelors degree in Music or Music Education required* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Ability to analyze data solve problems and make informed instructional decisions* Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to building positive relationships with students families and staff* Knowledge of state and federal education regulations school policies and charter school procedures* Demonstrated experience in music education instruction coaching and student engagement* Exceptional organizational and classroom management skills* Ability to adapt instruction to support diverse learners and meet school-wide goals* Must complete required MTEL(s) within one year of employment* Annual appointment subject to yearly evaluationMystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
