The Senior Policy Officer will manage a policy transformation project within the Division of Education and Student Experience (DESE) to create a new policy by streamlining and consolidating existing policies and procedures.
The Senior Policy Officer plays a key role in managing the policy transformation end to end leading workshops drafting the policy for consultation reviewing the University feedback and making final recommendations to the Policy Leads and Responsible Officer (Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience). The role will provide expert advice and help to UNSW staff during policy development and implementation.
The role will have significant working relationships with team members in DESE Governance senior UNSW staff and the wider University community. The Senior Policy Officer reports to the existing Senior Policy Officer in DESE and has no direct reports.

The role is hybrid Monday to Friday. The role is funded until February 2027 (with no possibility of extension at this stage).
