Job Description
Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for a Full-time core faculty position in the Division of Social Sciences and Human Services for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in the graduate Counseling Education Program with specific duties in school counseling. This position coordinates with the department leadership in monitoring course learning objectives interacting with students and adjuncts pursuing the maintenance of accreditation standards and providing direct instructions to students in courses and practicum/internships.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- In coordination with K-12 schools and/or community agencies assist students in practicum and internship courses to ensure a solid growth experience.
- Provide instruction both face to face and on-line to graduate students involved in graduate Counselor Education program.
- Track student learning outcomes in compliance with accreditation standards.
- Involvement in University wide committees and activities to further the mission of CUC.
- Candidates must be committed to the mission and identity of Concordia University Chicago. Additionally they must profess values congruent with the teachings of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Minimum Experience Required:
- 4 or more years experience in a K-12 academic environment as a school counselor.
- Possess an active Professional Educator License (PEL) School Counselor Endorsement.
- Preferred Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Education Requirements:
- Doctorate degree from an accredited CACREP program in counselor education or ABD.
- Undergraduate certification or colloquy completion as a professional church worker in the LCMS is preferred.
