The Clark County Public Defender Department is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Criminal Defense Attorney. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana.
Our office is looking for a self-motivated client-centered criminal defense attorney who seeks to help the indigent population. Applicant should be an organized independent attorney who also enjoys a collaborative environment.
The full-time in-office position offers an opportunity to develop and hone crucial skills such as client communication and trial practice. Job duties include maintaining contact with clients drafting filing and arguing motions making court appearances offering legal guidance for our clients and finding the best resolution for our clients up to and including trial. Our office provides a lively environment where you can develop and improve your litigation skills while helping those who find themselves in impossible situations.
Compensation: $95000/year; Health/Dental/Vision insurance; Enrollment in PERF retirement plan.
Regular days and hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
