Account Clerk II (High School) SECTION K-13

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  2. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  3. Dependable and of good moral character.
  4. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  5. Competency in the use of adding machine typewriter and calculator.
  6. Possessing good arithmetic aptitude.
  7. Ability to maintain records and files as required by the position.
  8. Ability to deal with staff members tactfully and with courtesy.
  9. Ability to perform responsibilities under self direction.
  10. Previous experience as an account clerk preferred.
  11. Successful completion of qualifying written examinations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible to the immediate supervising administrator.
  2. Work assignments normally consist of activities such s:
  • Responsible for receipting and depositing of all funds.
  • Responsible for disbursements of funds.
  • Maintain internal fund ledger.
  • Processing of all building requisitions.
  • Maintain files for requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Maintain petty cash fund.
  • Preparing diplomas driver training certificates etc.
  • Processing bus trip requests.
  • Processing outgoing mail.
  • Taking annual supplies inventory.
  • Distributing school supplies.
  • Responsible for the care and distribution of school keys.

3. Responsible for other duties as assigned by the immediate supervising administrator.
4. Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner commensurate with his/her position and projects a good public image of the School District in dealing with the

community and employee groups.
