Job Title: HR Advisor
Reports To: Head of HR
Location: Rotherham (On-site option to discuss home working after settled)
Salary: 30000 - 35000 DOE

HR Advisor Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies procedures and employment law.
- Manage employee relations matters including grievances disciplinaries TUPE processes and performance management cases in an empathetic manner.
- Conduct and support investigations hearings and appeals ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Support recruitment initiatives to attract individuals aligned with the organisations mission and values.
- Develop and implement onboarding processes to ensure new employees feel welcomed supported and aligned with the organisations goals.
Policy and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment law organisational policies and sector-specific regulations.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legislative changes.
- Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports on key HR metrics such as retention absence and engagement.
Learning and Development
- Identify training needs and support the delivery of professional development initiatives.
- Promote trauma-informed practices through training and resources for employees and managers.
HR Administration
- Manage HR systems and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Support payroll processing in collaboration with the finance team.
- Oversee absence tracking leave management and other administrative tasks.
Organisational Projects
- Lead or contribute to HR projects that support the organisations mission such as initiatives for employee wellbeing diversity and inclusion.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or above).
- Extensive knowledge of human resources and employment law including TUPE processes.
- Leadership and business management skills.
- Strong knowledge of the companys hiring process.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to use initiative and make informed decisions.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
- The ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.
- Professionalism and a positive attitude.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach aligned with trauma-informed principles.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience using Bamboo HR.
- Knowledge of the housing or social care sector.
