Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations**
Thefundamental reason this position exists is to manage the operation of multiplefacilities such as the Multiplex Cramton Bowl Lagoon Park Fain Park PatersonField and other facilities. The employee must be knowledgeable of a wide arrayof sports rules and tournament regulations. The Multiplex houses varioussports recreation and leisure activities. Duties include planning andscheduling events facilities maintenance and tournament management. The workresponsibilities of this position include: overseeing the maintenance ofballfields buildings and grounds through inspection work coordination andmaintenance and repair duties; planning organizing and administering sportsprograms and tournaments (high school basketball and volleyball collegebaseball basketball softball and volleyball); supervising full and part timepersonnel; preparing and maintaining records; and planning and arranging forevents and productions requiring the use of facilities and space. The employee reports directly to the Facility Manager II.
Bachelorsdegree in Recreation BusinessAdministration or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the management of a football or baseball stadium or a closely related sports facility to include six (6) months of supervisory experience.
NOTE: Qualifyingeducation training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge skillsand abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must be willing to work varyingand/or extended hours and holidays and work outdoors while being exposed toinclement weather conditions such as heat rain and cold.
