Job Description
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance organization and leadership Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help ensure our store and grounds are clean safe and well-maintained for staff customers and the community.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of store equipment and systems
- Coordinate with outside contractors for services like snow removal landscaping and pest control
- Monitor and maintain safety cleanliness and compliance across the store and grounds
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers safely and efficiently
- Keep accurate records help develop preventative maintenance schedules and innovate solutions to improve our facilities
- Support staff provide excellent service and contribute to a positive work culture
What Were Looking For:
- Building maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with tools equipment and safety practices
- Comfortable working indoors outdoors and at heights or in tight spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience
- Familiarity with natural foods and interest in food systems

Starting pay is $22.75-28 depending on experience.

Seeking evening and weekend availability this is a full-time 32-40 hour position. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday.
$1000 HIRING BONUS AVAILABLE. $500 paid out after 90 days of employment $500 paid out after 1 year employment.
