Description
Currey Ingram Academy is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Upper School English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for theschool year. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator with a strong background in English and a commitment to helping students grow as confident readers writers and critical thinkers.
This full-time position involves teaching a variety of English courses in grades 912 including core literature and composition classes as well as electives which may include a writing support class. Candidates should be enthusiastic about differentiating instruction engaging students in the writing process and contributing to a collaborative and student-centered learning environment. In addition candidates should be open to collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement student-centered evidence-based instruction as well as providing individualized academic and mentoring support and contributing to the broader school community through advisory extracurriculars or committee work
Candidates should have a four-year degree in English Education or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Preferences are given to candidates with teaching experience preferably in high school and who have experience supporting students with learning differences.
