Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical Nurse position requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current New York license and at least two years of recent hospital experience. The LPN will be responsible for managing their own patient assignments under the supervision of an RN providing direct patient care in a tertiary care hospital setting. Every other weekend and rotating day/night 12-hour shifts are required.

Responsibilities:
- Managing own patient assignments with RN support.
- Providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit.
- Performing nursing duties as directed by an RN.
- Charting in Epic.
- Participating in a rotating day/night shift schedule.
- Working every other weekend.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum two years of recent hospital experience.
- Ability to manage own patient assignments.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (implied).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in emergency or critical care.
- Proficiency with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
- More than two years of direct patient care experience.
Special Considerations:
- Tertiary care hospital setting.
- Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts.
