Job Summary:
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a tertiary care hospitals medical-surgical unit. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN manage their own patient assignments and collaborate with the healthcare team. The role requires experience in a hospital setting within the last two years and involves working night shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
- Manage own patient assignments.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in every other weekend rotation.
- Work 3 twelve-hour night shifts (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum of one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience (preferred but not required).
- Current BLS certification.
- Hospital experience within the last two years.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Experience with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend work requirement.
- 3 twelve-hour night shifts (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Tertiary care hospital setting.
- Charting using Epic.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week (1900-0730).
- Every other weekend rotation.
