At our facility in Wilson North Carolina we are committed to delivering patient- and family-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are seeking a Nurse Manager to lead our Medical-Surgical unit ensuring the highest standards of quality safety and compassionate service.
Position SummaryThe RN Manager Med/Surg plays a vital leadership role in aligning unit operations with the mission values and strategic goals of the organization. Under the general supervision of the Senior Nursing Officer the Manager will lead develop and evaluate all aspects of patient care management within the Medical-Surgical units to ensure safe high-quality and efficient service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the Med/Surg unit
Support and participate in the strategic planning process and execution of goals
Promote and ensure delivery of quality patient-centered care
Guide mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance and development
Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
Manage staffing budgeting and resource allocation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance outcomes and satisfaction
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Required
Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or must obtain within 30 days of hire
Current AHA BLS Required
ACLS Must be obtained within 60 days of hire
Specialty certification Preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
Other applicable clinical experience may be considered in lieu of Med/Surg
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and leadership qualities
Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
