On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Senior Construction Superintendent.

MISSIONS / JOB DIMENSIONS
The Senior Superintendent is responsible for managing site supervision and coordinating the day-to-day construction activities of the EPcmC staff & CONTRACTORs. The Senior Superintendent will be a key focal point between field engineering site supervision and Lot Manager for communicating construction issues & solution within respective allocated work scope packages. They will ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with the project codes standards drawings and specifications.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
EACOP project includes a 1445km 24 oil export pipeline 8 above ground facilities a green filed marine terminal with an export jetty and a Serie of 60 main line block valves and 20 trace heating stations. 150km of feeder lines from Upstream facilities will tie-in to the EACOP project. The project contracting strategy entails 8 main packages to be executed through 15 different main Contracts. An EPcmC Contractor oversees Detailed Engineering Procurement and construction management support interfacing with all other Contractors. EACOP direct personnel including partners secondees will be more that 600 at peak periods during the execution phase of the project and up to 8000 to 10000 personnel when including Contractors expected to be mobilized across the various sites for construction activities. The pipeline project will be the largest privately led with Government participation transnational infrastructure project ever undertaken in the East African region. The context is complex with numerous stakeholders environmental and societal / local content stakes three partners two involved countries new to oil development (Uganda and Tanzania) and the need for project development following IFC standards to secure the necessary financing.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ACTIVITIES
To manage the allocated LOT and spreads within the pipeline area packages as directed.
To provide on the job training and coaching to local content personnel liaising either directly or indirectly with training providers to ensure training is provided and performance monitoring of such.
Deputise (as required) within the designated area scopes.
Directly supporting the EPcmC staff & the CONTRACTORs ensuring delivery of the Pipeline and associated AGI MST facilities and EITS infrastructure are on-time and to budget.
Implement use and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites.
Assist COMPANY Project Manager s with the overall Construction program and key interface deliverables.
Participate in the development and approval of project schedules with the Project Management team.
Interrogate construction schedules and identify any areas where critical path planning may be impacted.
Ensure that CONTRACTORS are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
Assist in expediting technical interfaces between the project engineering office and construction teams.
Monitor and report on CONTRACTORS compliance to project HSE and Quality Assurance requirements.
Providing instruction to the lead supervision on key milestones driving the execution schedules.
Review GIS mapping and ensure pipeline routes/ROW comply with the AFC design drawing locations.
Supporting the Superintendents on the pipeline Installations and reviewing the daily reports issued.
Ensuring local partners and local contractor execution works are aligned with the project schedules.
Participate in constructability and technical design reviews to identify opportunities for optimisation.
Interface with project engineers EITS AGI Pipeline and MST Superintendents to ensure the delineation of battery limit scopes are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
Review ITP inspection surveillance and hold points by the designated personnel.
Ensure project preservations team are correctly monitoring recording and reporting preservation integrity.
Planning system and subsystem completion for testing and commissioning readiness.
Work within a multi-cultural business framework and provide ethical and compliant support.
Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding HSE Ethics and Company "Code of Conduct" policy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian rules regulations shareholder and governmental agreements and standards relevant to project activities and project implementation in compliance with requirements in construction deliverables and site activities.
To ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory frame in pipeline construction related activities.
Supporting and coordination EACOP project teams.
