The Customer Connection Coordinator plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for potential customers engaging with Summit through our website. This role is responsible for responding to inbound inquiries from individuals who have requested to Talk to a Pro or asked to be contacted. These inquiries may come via phone email or web chat and often involve individuals unfamiliar with Summit or unsure of who to contact.

The Coordinator will provide timely accurate and helpful responses to questions about products pricing availability and Summits solutions. They will also identify potential opportunities route inquiries to the appropriate internal teams and follow up to ensure customer needs are met. This role requires strong communication skills curiosity and the ability to quickly assess the nature and potential of each inquiry.

What you will be doing:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer inquiries via phone email and chat
  • Triage and route inquiries to the appropriate internal resources
  • Provide accurate information about Summits products services and solutions
  • Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Promote Summits strategic suppliers and their products when appropriate
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their questions were answered and orders were handled as expected
  • Maintain accurate records in Summits customer contact system
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics related to response time and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience

 


    Qualifications :

    Wired for Success - What You Need to Thrive:

    • Base knowledge of electrical products (expertise not required)
    • Naturally curious and motivated to ask discovery questions
    • Strong desire to help people and solve problems
    • Ability to quickly identify potential opportunities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in a customer-facing role
    • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
    • Flexibility to adjust work hours based on time zone needs

    Other things that will help you be successful:

    • Familiarity with Summits products services and solutions
    • Experience handling inbound calls or web-based inquiries
    • Background in consultative customer service or sales
    • Proficiency with CRM systems and customer service software
    • Experience with SAP BI or other Summit tools
    • Bilingual (Spanish fluency preferred)
