Job Description

Were looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our team and contribute to a variety of contaminated land projects across New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career working alongside experienced professionals on diverse and technically challenging projects.

How youll make a difference

  • Plan manage and deliver contaminated land investigations for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Participate in fieldwork; manage subcontractors and ensure high-quality data collection and reporting.
  • Prepare clear concise technical reports and contribute to environmental assessments and remediation strategies.
  • Liaise directly with clients providing timely updates and innovative practical solutions.
  • Support project management tasks including invoicing financial tracking and overall project delivery.

Qualifications :

The qualities that help you thrive

 

  • Bachelors degree in environmental science engineering geology or earth science
  • 3-5 years contaminated land experience within a consultancy council or similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience in contaminated land management environmental site assessments (preliminary and detailed site investigations) and remediation
  • Strong field skills including experience sampling and monitoring a variety of media including soil groundwater surface water sediment soil vapour indoor air including the willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork in cities and rural locations across New Zealand
  • A valid full drivers license is essential
