Job Description
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will provide psychotherapy counselling and support to individuals and groups dealing with emotional behavioral and social challenges at DOS/DOD facilities in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders and emotional issues using clinical interviews observations and standardized assessment tools.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to clients needs including individual family and group therapy.
- Respond to and manage acute crises providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Educate clients and families about mental health issues treatment options and resources available.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers including psychiatrists psychologists nurses and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records including treatment plans progress notes and compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Engage in community service and outreach to promote awareness of mental health issues and available services.

Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Current full active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 3 years recent experience - including at least six months out of the past year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
Masters degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.
Additional Information :
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
