Job Title:Student Worker - ReStore Cashier - Waco Habitat ReStore

Work Schedule:Wednesday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Desired Length of Employment:Fall & Spring/Ongoing

Pay Rate:$12.00

Job Description:

This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) Students only.

Responsible for checking customers out & providing excellent customer service. Light paperwork is involved and knowledge of basic computer functions is required. Must be able to run a register efficiently & effectively have the ability to handle money make change & change paper on machines while working with management to maintain a balanced register. Will need to answer the phone & transfer calls accordingly create pick up tickets maintain a clean & organized transaction area including wiping surfaces touch points sweeping floors and removing trash & clutter not needed to conduct customer transactions.

Good verbal skills human relation skills & basic math skills are needed. Work environment is a warehouse facility with an infrequent need to work outside of the facility. Bulk of time will be spent standing and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs. is required.

Flexible hours are available but no more than 20 hours per week are offered.


This is off-campus employment and reliable transportation is important.

  • Assist with various projects activities or tasks related to community service

  • Utilize available resources to perform duties accordingly
  • Serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
  • Must be federal work study eligible
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
