Now Hiring: Instructional Assistant (Autism Support)
Grades Served: K12
Position Types: Full-Time/Part-Time/Substitutes
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs The Riley Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Assistant to support students with autism in a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with autism across academic and social settings.
Support students in developing communication social and self-regulation skills
Collaborate with teachers therapists and support staff to create a safe structured and engaging classroom environment
Provide direct assistance with classroom activities transitions and adaptive routines
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a classroom environment (preferred)
Experience supporting students with autism or other developmental differences (preferred)
Patience empathy and a strong commitment to student success
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in special education or child development is a plus. RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) also favorable!
